This is a blog where you can get creative ideas for DIY costumes. There are several ways to find a costume you are looking for.
1- On the right side bar there are category links that will take you to sub-categories, and then to the final post.
2- On the right side bar there are “tags”, these are very specific and will take you directly to a costume.
3- On the left side bar you will see there is a list of latest costumes, and a costume archive.
4- To view a list of all costumes, click on the tab, “all costumes” at the top of the page.
5- If you know the exact name of a costume you are looking for, you can type it in to the “Search” box on the left side bar.
My Story:
When I was young, my parents didn’t have a lot of money to spend on ridiculously expensive Halloween Costumes. So my mom improvised. She sewed them herself. I kid you not, they ROCKED. My mom is a very talented lady and very creative. I won the ‘sock hop’ contests, the best Valentine’s mailbox contests, and the best Halloween Costume contests when I was in school. So as I got into highschool, I thought I would give my mom a break and BUY a costume. So I went to the nearest seasonal Halloween store and had a looksy. Not worth it to me. The price you pay for not much fabric is ridiculous! So I said my goodbyes and vowed never to buy a packaged costume.
I want this site to INSPIRE you. I want to encourage you to make your own costumes. I promise you will LOVE it.
